Your Annual Donation Helps Us to Help You

The Adamstown Fire Company conducts an annual fund drive to pay for operating costs, fuel for apparatus, Insurance, the purchase & maintenance of needed emergency equipment & the replacement of apparatus just to name a few. Please be generous. We understand that many organizations ask for money and there are times you feel that you just give and give. Please remember the Adamstown Fire Company is a 100%-volunteer organization protecting the residents and businesses of Adamstown Borough and portions of East Cocalico & Brecknock Township and assist surrounding townships and boroughs as needed.

During 2011 the Adamstown Fire Company responded to 133 Incidents totaling 1,134 hours of incident operations. In addition, our volunteers spent 1,305 hours attending training & certification classes and 387 hours performing public fire prevention & equipment maintenance at the station.

This past year the department was awarded a grant for $12,297.83, which allowed us to purchase and install an Emergency Back-up Generator at the fire Station at a cost of $16,920.00. The generator allows full functionality of the station during the event of a power outage or other type of emergency. This also now provides an emergency shelter area for residents in the event of a large-scale emergency or long-term power outage.

We are an IRS-recognized 501(c)(4) non-profit group of men and women who put their lives on the line in order to save the lives and properties of others. And we do it for NO Pay! When you donate to AFC, ALL of your money goes directly to the fire company to purchase & maintain the necessary items to respond to YOUR emergency if needed. You can see the equipment and facilities your donation goes towards by stopping at our station while our members are there and meet the people that will use the equipment to help our community in its time of need.

Imagine it is 2:00 in the morning and the members of AFC are awakened from a sound sleep. Someone has reported a fire in their home. Within minutes, professionally Trained & Certified men and women respond to your potential disaster. It happens more often that we would like to think. We must be prepared for all emergencies. It's part of our responsibility to make sure that we provide the best-qualified people and adequate, updated equipment to assist you in such emergencies. Unfortunately, we can't do it alone. Without your contribution, we can't afford the vital equipment and training or provide the necessary maintenance to keep our apparatus in good repair. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
